The Crotch Monster

So this is my (slightly unstable) 3D Design project.

Hmm, it's kinda funny. Last week my professor told me it needed a lot of work, but today I returned to her without fixing anything (too many exams to study for...) she thought it was perfectly fine.

This little guy, lovingly nicknamed "The Crotch Monster," is currently taking up all of my free time and I do wish to upload some drawings soon.

So it's another day in college...

(Whoever thought of putting a coffee vending machine in the Art & Design Center is an absolute genius and should be given a Nobel Peace Prize. Jus' sayin')

So it's another Tuesday in college. Waking up early to get to my class and slice some cardboard using a boxcutter. I'm supposed to make a 3D plane that is supposed to fill this

Currently, my object (affectionately nicknamed "The Crotch Monster") is being mean to me. But it's kind of my fault for getting thick cardboard rather than thin. The plus size, though, is that because it is thick it is much more sturdier. Thank goodness...

Drawing II is my favorite class hands down. I mean, as much as I love Japanese......you have to memorize and practice a lot to save yourself from public humiliation! All these shapes had to be drawn free-handed so please forgive the fail.Thinking about selling at Anime Los Angeles with my bestest friend in the whole world Courtney. Let's see how this will turn out, because the ALA staff and website love being ambiguous. (Ignore the "ALA '10?" bit, I forgot what year this was....)

;A; Will update more stuff soon!

*wakes up a little*

So this summer was quite eventful.Went to Mexico twice to gather as much culture and inspiration as possible; there's still a lot to learn about Mexican art. Sold at Anime Expo's Artist Alley and rocked the con; sold some fanart and this little cutie up here (Will be explained a bit later)

Because of AX, I'm pretty much inspired to draw a comic heavily based on my silly convention adventures but with fictional characters. The only problem is...should I use real convention names? Who knows.

Not another art student

Hello~ it seems you have (somehow) stumbled onto my blog. Yes, I've set this up to post my original works as well as other art-related things such as my homework, sketches, and Artist Alley things (I'll try to keep the fanart to a minimum).

As of right now, I'm just another art student-- I'm an illustration major at my university, planning to be an illustrator and comic artist.

As much as I hate to admit this out loud, yes, I am influenced by anime. It has been since the late 90s when kids were obsessed with Dragonball Z, Sailor Moon, and Pokemon. Yes, my art style is sort of like that but I am improving with anatomy. My favorite artist is Eiichiro Oda (One Piece)

Aside from anime, I am also influenced by Mexican culture. Hence the name DONAJI which I will explain the name another day. My favorite artist is Frida Kahlo, she had such an interesting life

I'll post up some things soon
